Dalene Heck is a travel blogger and co-founder of Hecktic Travels, a multi-award-winning blog she operates alongside her husband, Pete Heck. Their nomadic journey began in 2009, leading to nearly eight years of continuous global exploration chronicled on their platform. Hecktic Travels serves as a candid record of their adventures and misadventures, shared with honesty and openness, fostering a loyal community of readers. Dalene's approach emphasizes the transformative power of travel and the personal growth it fosters, advocating for slow travel, engagement with local communities, and minimalism. Their work earned them "Travelers of the Year" from National Geographic in 2014, and Dalene has twice been recognized as a "Voice of the Year" by BlogHer. Beyond blogging, Dalene co-founded Hecktic Media Inc. (HMI) in 2013, a digital marketing agency specializing in influencer and content marketing for the travel industry.
