Colin Girard

Colin Girard co-founded Eh Canada Travel, a national adventure and planning website for Canada. With a background in hospitality management, he launched an initial community adventure website in 1997, which later expanded its focus to Vancouver Island. Driven by an entrepreneurial spirit shared with his brother Greg, Girard began a ten-year cross-country research journey in 2007. This extensive journey, documented with photos and videos, aimed to gather comprehensive information on Canadian tourism and small communities, addressing a perceived gap in authentic online travel resources. As Eh Canada Travel's technology and development lead, Colin Girard oversees all website coding, design, and search engine optimization, ensuring the platform is user-friendly and robust. Under his leadership, Eh Canada Travel was named Canada's Best 2024 Adventure Planning Website by the Canadian Business Awards and a "Top 20 Canadian Travel Website To Watch" in 2019. He also plays a key role in the "Experience Community Program," which assists small and rural Canadian communities in developing their tourism industries. Girard highlights Canada's diverse adventures, from remote wilderness to vibrant cultural hubs. His approach focuses on providing authentic, locally contributed content, aiming to convey the country's unique character through storytelling.
