A cornerstone of this work is the Green Scheme of Slovenian Tourism – a national certification tool promoting sustainable practices among destinations and providers. This initiative was instrumental in Slovenia being recognized as the world's first Green Country in 2016 and has earned the board a National Geographic World Legacy Award for sustainable destination management. Under the national brand "I feel Slovenia," the board manages the central tourism website, Slovenia.info, and executes digital marketing campaigns that showcase the country’s diverse offerings. These efforts focus on everything from pristine nature and cultural heritage to culinary traditions and wellness, consistently reinforcing Slovenia’s reputation as a leader in responsible travel.
