Nancy Bachmann

Nancy Bachmann is a partner at Smart Travelling, a multimedia project dedicated to travel and lifestyle publishing. Originally from East Germany, her interest in travel deepened significantly after the fall of the Berlin Wall, leading to a career focused on global exploration. Through Smart Travelling, she co-creates award-winning, carefully curated travel guides, published in both English and German. The project offers local insights and a selection of places described as having "depth or soul," aiming to simplify travel planning with advice akin to that of a trusted friend. Her extensive publishing work includes authoring over fifty books in the "A perfect Week/Weekend…" series, such as "A perfect weekend in San Francisco," alongside coffee-table books like "99 perfect Restaurants" and "66 perfect Hotels." Bachmann champions a conscious approach to travel, emphasizing authentic experiences, personal well-being, and genuine connections. Her philosophy centers on cultivating presence, fostering connections with local cultures, and discovering beauty, nourishment, and empowerment through each journey. Beyond her contributions to travel publishing, she co-founded Los Angeles Cold Press, a Berlin-based wellness brand inspired by the healthy Californian lifestyle. Her newest endeavor, N/B Conscious Productions, operates as a global platform for "new luxury," focusing on curated experiences that foster deep connections and raise collective consciousness.
