Based in Athens, Greece
George Pavlopoulos, born in Athens in 1980, is a Greek travel blogger and published novelist who divides his time between Berlin and his native city. He draws inspiration from his experiences in both locations and his wider travels. In the summer of 2018, he launched *Letters to Barbara*, a travel blog where he narrates diverse encounters and discoveries from the road. The blog features articles and photographs, often captured with a Ricoh GR ii camera, that delve into "odd stories and remote places," reflecting a philosophy of seeking out unconventional, less-trodden paths. He also contributes content and reviews to Greek language learning resources. Pavlopoulos is the author of three novels: *300 Kelvin in the Afternoon* (2007), *Steam* (2011), and *The Limit and the Wave* (2014). His second novel, *Steam*, is held in the permanent collections of Yale, Harvard, Princeton, and Columbia libraries. He was a guest of the Hellenic Foundation for Culture at the 2015 Frankfurt Book Fair and participated in the International Short Story Festival of Istanbul in 2017. Across his body of work, Pavlopoulos consistently blends travel narratives with a deep literary sensibility, providing a distinct perspective on the world through both his writing and photography.
