Terence Carter is an Australian-born editorial food and travel photographer and writer who co-publishes Grantourismo, a dedicated travel and food platform, with his wife, Lara Dunston. His career spans several decades, initially rooted in book publishing and design. He later transitioned into travel and food writing and photography. Since launching Grantourismo in 2010, Carter and Dunston have championed a philosophy of slow, local, and experiential travel. Their work promotes immersive, engaging, and enriching forms of travel that prioritize sustainability, responsibility, and ethical engagement. They have been based in Southeast Asia since 2013, currently residing in Siem Reap, Cambodia. As a photographer, Carter brings a keen eye to capturing the essence of people, places, and food, crafting striking visual narratives that complement his written work. His writing and photography have appeared in numerous travel guidebooks and publications, including *National Geographic Traveller*, *Australian Gourmet Traveller*, *CNN*, and *The Guardian*. Beyond his editorial contributions, Carter has also developed cookbooks and previously hosted culinary tours and creative retreats across Southeast Asia.
