Garrett and Jessica Gee, the creators behind "The Bucket List Family," are travel journalists and content creators who document their family travels. They began full-time travel in 2015, following Garrett Gee's entrepreneurial success with the sale of his mobile scanning application, Scan, to Snapchat. The Gees chose a life centered on experiences rather than material accumulation, selling their belongings and embarking on a world tour with their children, Dorothy and Manilla. Their decision was rooted in a philosophy of fostering personal growth, strengthening family bonds, and learning from diverse cultures, and they funded their travels independently, not using the proceeds from the Scan sale. Through "The Bucket List Family" channels, they chronicle their international travels across numerous countries and continents, sharing stories and visuals on Instagram and YouTube. Their content features experiences such as swimming with whales in Tonga, exploring historic castles in Ireland, and enjoying breakfast alongside giraffes in Kenya. Beyond their digital presence, they partner with brands such as Disney, GoPro, and Airbnb, and have diversified their offerings to include a travel app, merchandise, and photo presets. Jessica Gee has also partnered with National Geographic, co-authoring a children's book series and a comprehensive guide to family travel.
