Eric Stoen is a family travel blogger, writer, and photographer behind the platform Travel Babbo. He transitioned to full-time travel blogging in early 2014 after an eighteen-year career in healthcare, to share his family's adventures. A trip to Antarctica with his eight-year-old daughter, which he found surprisingly kid-friendly, proved pivotal, leading to his focus on professional travel writing. The name "Babbo" (Italian for Dad) for his blog originated from a 2012 Condé Nast Traveler Magazine Photo of the Year contest win, where he earned the nickname during the prize trip to Florence.
