A public-private partnership established in 1998, the Jordan Tourism Board is dedicated to marketing the country to a global audience. Its work involves branding and positioning Jordan by highlighting its diverse appeal, which spans cultural, natural, religious, and adventure travel. The board executes its international promotional strategy through eleven offices in Europe and North America – coordinating trade fairs, workshops, press trips, and multimedia campaigns. Promotion extends beyond major attractions like Petra to include experiences such as Red Sea cruises, Bedouin cultural tours, and gastronomy-focused travel. A core part of this work is increasing accessibility. Strategic airline partnerships, including a 2018 agreement with Ryanair, have expanded flight routes to Amman and Aqaba and significantly increased European visitor numbers. The board also develops digital tools, such as the AI-driven "Jordan Gate" application, to support personalized travel planning while advancing its goals for sustainable tourism and cultural preservation.
